All, 

This week in Texas has shown us the brokenness of this world.   

Earlier this week, Rice University Student, Andrea Rodrirguez Avila was murdered in her dorm room and last night a Dallas Police Officer Darron Burks. was killed in the line of duty.  Two other officers were also seriously hurt while attempting to apprehend the subject. 

The Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators mourns with our brothers & sisters that serve on higher ed campuses and those who police our streets.  We stand with them as we work to create a better world...one without senseless violence. 

Our prayers continue to be with those impacted by the loss of Andrea and Officer
