Event Security Staffing
The University of Texas at Arlington Police Department is seeking input from other institutions regarding their police staffing practices for special events. We would welcome information from your campus regarding the questions below. Any documents, responses, or other information shared with will only be used internally in an effort to fine tune the policies and practices our department enacts to facilitate safe events. Does your institution have a minimum staffing matrix or protocol for all events and/or specific types of events?
Does your institution have staffing protocols for free speech activities?
What are your rates for assigned Police staffing at events?
How does your institution allocate expenses to individuals/groups for free speech activities, including student groups?
Does your institution have a process/documentation of a risk assessment process for events?
