Campus Police vehicles

Hello all:

I am looking for recommendations for Police vehicles. We rarely get over 20 mph and generally have a lot of idling time. Fortunately most of our speed bumps are coming up next week. Our 2020 special duty Silverado is on its third engine and our Tahoe is even older. Any insights would be useful.

Don't buy the Durango with the V6 engine. Battery is under front seat and the engine is poor reliability.

We recently started using the 2024 Colorados. They are more economical and fuel efficient. They don't come in a police package, but you can upfit them nicely - Setina even makes a cage for them. They are much better for getting around in parking lots too.
