UT Arlington Posts Video of Active Shooter Training Exercise

This video highlights the realistic nature of a large-scale active shooter training exercise and takes viewers into the heart of the action. In today's climate, university and college police officers must prepare and train for these types of scenarios. The culmination of 18 months of planning took place on the UT Arlington campus on July 31, 2017. This was the largest event of its kind ever held on the campus, involving approximately 500 volunteers and partners. Many thanks to all the UT Arlington employees, volunteers, and partners from Arlington Police Department, Arlington Fire Department, Mount Pleasant Police Department, and the Tarrant County Constable's Office.
