TACUPA Past President Jay Tillerson promoted to UTAPD Assistant Chief
University of Texas-Arlington Police Assistant Chief Jay Tillerson and Assistant Chief Michael Holguin were promoted during a ceremony on February 2, 2015.
“I’m very proud and excited to have both Mike and Jay join our leadership team,” Chief Kim Lemaux said. “They are very, very welcome additions and this will enable us to continue to elevate our service to the community.”
UT Southwestern Medical School PD becomes TCPA Recognized Agency
Congratulations to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School Police Department for achieving “Recognized Status” for compliance with the Texas Law Enforcement Agency Best Practices Recognition Program.
This is the 104th Recognized Agency. During the 2015 TPCA Annual Conference UTSWPD will be recognized before their peers.
Texas A&M University PD receives CALEA accreditation
Texas A&M police have joined eight other university police departments in Texas with accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The department's achievement was announced during the CALEA fall conference in Albuquerque on Nov. 22, 2014.
