Police Commissioner Lauretta Hill (Dallas County Community College)

Throughout my 23 year law enforcement career, I have been dedicated to improving education, training, and community relationships. I spent the majority of my law enforcement career as a municipal senior command staff member. During my tenure with both Arlington Texas Police Department and Miami Beach Florida Police Department; I oversaw the both operational and support functions. I served DOJ-BJA and PERF (Police Executive Research Forum) as an expert to development of model policies for body worn cameras. I am an IACP Community Policing lecturer for teaching the principles of 21st century policing. I believe in providing training and education opportunities to all officers. As the 2nd Vice President, I can assist in making sure training and educational opportunities are provided to all campus law enforcement. I also believe in networking, I see this role as a supporting function in assisting new Chief and Administrators on best practices and model policies for the campus law enforcement. I believe my law enforcement career, education and dedication to training makes the right choice for 2nd Vice President for TACUPA.
