Malcolm McGuire
Senior Manager - SMU Threat Assessment Program, Certified Fraud Examiner

Malcolm McGuire, MADR, CFE, is a service leader with 22 year of experience in Law Enforcement, Security and Investigations.

 

He began his career with the City of Tyler Police Department in 2003. In 2008, Malcolm was hired by Southern Methodist Unversity Police Department where he continues to serve today as Senior Manager of the SMU Threat Assessment Program.

 

While working at SMU Police Department, Malcolm earned his Master of Arts in dispute resolution at the SMU Simmons School and he enlisted in the US Air Force in 2009, serving until his honorable retirement in 2016 as a Technical Sergeant

 

Malcolm founded McGuire Protection in 2020, an agency devoted to helping businesses, insurance agencies and faith based organizations with insurance fraud investigations and asset recovery. 

 

In addition to his careers with SMU and McGuire Protection, Malcolm continues to mentor and volunteer for various organizations including The Friends of the Dallas County Library, serving as Chair of the Black Alumni of SMU, and he is an adjunct professor at Tarrant College.

Family: Malcolm is the youngest of six boys and he also has four sisters. Malcolm and his wife, Tysha, a clinical nurse supervisor, have been married for 21 years. They have two sons, Miles and Mason, and a border collie and Anatolian shepherd mix named King.
